The amiable Director of Adeyemo College, Kaduna, Chief Niyi Adeyemo, bagged 2015 edition award of West African Students’ Union Parliament (WASUP), French Language Promoters Award of Excellence, top fore-runners of French in West Africa.
In an address, the President of African Global Network (AYGN), Dr. Laurent Agbemadji, told the gathering that the award was neither a favour nor a gift but due merit as one of the foremost reputable French language promoting schools in the West Africa sub region.
According to him, the future of multilingual and the world was fast becoming a global village, noting that it was a noble task to encourage and honour those who have been sacrificing a lot in breaking down the linguistic barriers, making the knowledge of French available to all thereby creating brighter future for the next generation.
His words, “It is your commitment to excellence over the years that is been rewarded today. You have done well by given a peculiar attention to the teaching of French language in your school. This award is to appreciate and encourage you as an exemplary leader to continue on the good path that you have chosen and refuse to give in to discouragement no matter to what degree it manifest.
“You were found worthy to receive the French Language Promoters Award of Excellence 2015 for your hard work, integrity and love for Nigeria and Africa, for we have heard and we have seen”, he added.
Receiving the award, Niyi Adeyemo, who had earlier dedicated the award to the students and staff of the college said, the award was a challenge to him because he has improve on hard work and be up to date in educational information, describing it as “greater award, greater responsibility.”
“I think one of the things that is differentiating our college from others is the fact that we put our students first in everything we do. For instance, we participate in all competitions around the country no matter how much it will cost. We won Schlum Berger secondary school competition in Portharcourt as the only school from Kaduna State just recently, so hard work pays’’, he concluded.
A Junior Secondary School II student, Amina Ambali, however emerged the 2015 overall best French speaking student in the school.

It is no longer a news that Adeyemo College is second to nonamong its contemporaries. Our works have always been, and will continue to speak for us. That simply explains why we do not blow the trumpets but our well tutored students do that for us when ever academic duty calls.
In 2013, the Chemical society of Nigeria organized competition among secondary schools in Nigeria. At the state level in the whole of Kaduna state, our shining students took the FIRST and SECOND position. The students, who are currently shining with the Chemical Society of Nigeria are: Princess Nosakhare Osagie- Erese and Salihu Usman Abdulmalik. The represented the state at the national level in September 2013. Similarly on Saturday 17th may 2014 Charles Essien and Mustapha Maimuna came SECOND AND FIFTH position respectively. Management wishes the esteem students of the college the very best and more of these laudable achievements.

In the annual chemistry competition organized by the Chemical Society of Nigeria
The Internet classroom meant for e-learning is equipped with a variety of modern Computers fully integrated with Projector and multimedia facilities both for research and ICT Learning. In keeping with its goal of being technologically innovative, the internet Lab is headed by highly qualified, experienced and professional educators who help students succeed up to post-secondary level.WWWW
For students welfare, the school has a special arrangement for students to come early enough to school. Hence, the school bus transport avails the students the opportunity to come from Mando via Kawo to school and from Sabon Tasha to school. Other routes throughout Kaduna city are in view. The school provides bus for excursion too.
The objective of extra curricular activities in the college is to enable the students develop physical and mental skills in various games/sporting activities and compete favourably with other schools and colleges in the country. It is also aimed to enable them acquire learning experiences in various fields.
In the light of this, adequate periods are allocated for club activities in the school time table.
